Have had the pleasure of seeing these fine gents on a few different occasions. This underground Costa Mesa, Surf/ Psychedelic group- to me- is the essence of that lost rough surf culture that you can only find outside the orange county boundary. Lets go back to the days of warehouse shows, cheap beer, and ratty hair. Throw in some waist high shorts and a chinese straw hat and you have The Growlers. California still has a unique culture thats noteworthy in there. You just have to know where to look.
